Summer Bridge Program

2024

We are excited to be offering a Summer Bridge Program to our accepted incoming Freshman students from August 5-7, 2024! Please come and join us for a chance to get an early college experience, connect with other students, meet your professors, enjoy experiential learning opportunities, and get acquainted with the amazing options available to Providence students just outside our doors!

Providence has a long history of emphasizing a holistic view of education that connects the classroom to experiential learning. Come and expand your understanding of the culture around us by examining other people, worldviews, artifacts, traditions, and values–all to teach you more about God, yourself, your neighbor, and creation.

What will we be doing?

Students will be enjoying excursions into Pasadena and Downtown Los Angeles where we will study the architecture, history, and culture of the area around Providence Christian College. Your experiences will be led by faculty from Providence Christian College, giving you the chance to make early connections to your college professors!

Where will you stay?

Students will be housed in ‘The Village” which is where you will be living during your time at Providence!

When?

The Summer Bridge program runs from August 5-7. All students will move into housing on the morning of the 5th. The program will conclude after dinner on the 7th. Fall athletes will be able to stay on campus the night of the 7th and move into their respective apartments with their teams on the 8th. Students who are not involved as Fall athletes will return home and come back to the campus on the 15th to move in and participate in orientation. More information to follow!

How much does it cost?

The program is being funded by the Hispanic Serving Institution grant which Providence received in the Fall of 2023. All housing, food, and attraction costs are fully covered. The only cost to you is getting to the campus and any incidental expenses.

Why should I come?

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the area that you will be living in as a student at Providence and to connect to the faculty and other students while engaging in experiential learning opportunities that will engage your whole person! We will be learning AND having fun!
